Welcome!

My name is Ali and here I am with my husband, Kris. In recent years, we have discovered that we are both travel enthusiasts and have been on an journey to live a more adventurous life since 2023. We love traveling with our two children, now 12 and 10. Together, we have visited 25 of the major 63 National Parks, 10 other National Park sites, 24 US states and had brief visits in Canada and Mexico so far. Along the way, I also discovered that I love writing about the experiences we have had, almost as much as I love the journeys themselves. I have been writing “journal” style recaps of our trips on my private social media since our first major trip to Utah in 2023.

A few other fun facts about me – I love nature photography and have been photographing the sunset daily for nearly eight years now. Baking is my other favorite past time and I previously wrote a small scale blog “Ali a la mode” which sadly fizzled out when my children were born. Our favorite style of travel is “the road trip” but we don’t always have enough time to drive to everywhere we want to go from our home in Massachusetts. So we fly to an airport near our road trip plans, rent a car and spend a few days in each location along our chosen route. Traveling, exploring, planning, researching, experiencing has become my great obsession and being able to share with you is what all this is about.
